outer sunset meadow

this garden is such a great example of what can be done with very little construction; a decomposed granite patio was installed in the sunniest corner under a newly planted but quite established Palm, in lieu of new privacy fencing, columnar Ficus were added to the perimeter, a ca native lawn installed as sod (we love the instant gratification) creates a soft landing pad for the little ones on site; in order to make the lounge an exciting destination cohesive with the rest of the space, but different in it’s intended use without elevating, we added a cushion of drought tolerant plantings with plenty of texture like dwarf Olive, Aloe & Madrone.
